Adopting an animal is more involved than people tend to think it is. Before you adopt, ask yourself: how long of a commitment is this? What are the yearly expenses of owning a pet? Is the pet I want to adopt high maintenance or low maintenance? If you can't answer these questions, you should do more research to better understand the commitment you're making. The last thing we want to see at New Lease on Life is an animal returned because it "got too big" or its "too expensive to take care of". Know what you're getting into before you get into it.
